Pros: - Very low price - Print quality is pretty good - Very nice Control Panel
Cons: - Could be a little faster, but who's complaining at this price level.
Other Thoughts: This is a very good looking printer and functions extremely well -- bought it for my wife and she is more than pleased compared to her previous Brother model. Of course one of it's best qualities is it is able to use the 123 generic cartridges inexpensive. I really don't like the massive amount of applications most printers including this one install from the enclosed CD.... I downloaded just the basic "scan and print drivers" from Brother's web site -- works great.

- Will this printer have any problem using your replacement ink cartridges? I have an older Brother printer and sometimes it gives me an error saying an ink cartridge is empty even though it has been replaced with a new one. Answers This

Some of our older cartridges have "no chip" and "with chip" version.
The chip is a sensor that helps the printer to recognize the cartridge and the ink level.
For NO-CHIP ink cartridges, customers have to replace the chips from the OEM original ink cartridges (genuine) ink cartridges to our new replacement ink cartridges, and we have instruction inside of the box, you can follow the instruction to replace the chip.
For WITH-CHIP ink cartridges, you can install them as easy as install the OEM ones.
Personally, we would recommend you purchasing those ink cartridges with chips, since they will save you from unnecessary efforts and potential trouble.
