It can work as either a switch, sending a specific input to a specific output of your choice, or it can work as a splitter sending one input signal to both outputs simultaneously. Compliant with the latest and greatest HDMI standard (1.3b), this unit is also backward compatible with all prior versions of HDMI so none of your HDMI devices will be left out of your configuration.
